Description

Detroit Mercy's annual Safety Street on the McNichols campus is back again! On Friday, Oct. 29, members of the University community will pass out pounds of candy to trick-or-treaters through a contactless drive-thru experience from 4:30 to 5:45 p.m. Families will check in at the McNichols Campus entrance, follow guides to a contactless pickup location and adhere to all University safety procedures.  Volunteers will hand candy and other treats to the family member.  Detroit Mercy’s School of Architecture was the first to establish Safety Street’s neighborhood trick-or-treat experience. Over the years, this event has grown to include University departments, fraternities, sororities, and student organizations. To date, more than 1,000 pounds of candy have been donated. The School of Dentistry balances the sweet with proper dental hygiene, handing out toothbrushes, toothpaste and dental floss each year.
